This is Suzanna

This is my first post since sometime in March. I’ve neglected my blog so much these last few months, but I do have good reasons. This summer I had the awesome opportunity to be an intern at Fox 29 in San Antonio. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Everybody that knows me knows that I am not a morning person. This internship had me waking up everyday at 5am. I’m not gonna lie, going into it, I thought it was going to be a miserable summer, but once I started, I actually looked forward to getting up at 5am. I met so many wonderful people who gave the best advice. I gained so much experience and I even got to do a segment live with the hosts of the show. I can’t thank them enough for everything. So with that being said, now you know why I wasn’t on my blog too much this summer.
Now fall is here and i’m back in school starting my Junior year. Time really is flying by. I hadn’t touched my camera much until recently. My friend Suzanna and I did a little shoot on the fly one weekend while we were watching the football game at home. It felt so good to finally get behind the camera and shoot. Suzanna was one of the first people I met when I came to college and we’ve gotten so close these last few years. Luckily we live down the street from each other so we see each other everyday. (she’s so lucky)

I realize i’m starting to ramble, so i’ll wrap it up.

Some pictures I took of my cousin in the Corps here at A&M will be up here within the next week hopefully!

I hope everybody has a great rest of the week!

Robert & Laura get married!

I usually don’t take on weddings very often because they are such a huge task. I’ve done a handful in my time as a photographer and I have to say I hadn’t really appreciated a wedding until now. I guess I was just younger and more immature when I did my previous weddings, and I didn’t actually listen to the ceremony. After listening to Robert and Laura express themselves to one another, I had to remind myself I was there to work not to gaze and sob like a baby. It was truly a special night. I have a new found love for weddings and how special they are to the couple. Everybody deserves to be that happy with another person and experience it. I feel like such an adult now that I love weddings.:P
I am sharing a few photos from the day here on my blog. I could not have asked for a better experience. It will be one I will never forget!

Still here!

Hey guys, I can’t believe it’s been so long since I have updated my blog. I promise i’m still running it, even if it doesn’t always look that way. I recently finished my second year of college and I am now interning at Fox 29 in San Antonio. I have kept busy constantly and I hardly get a chance to sit down and really give my blog the right attention it needs. I have a bunch of pictures in my computer that haven’t gotten to the blog yet and I am going to slowly grace the blog with them:)I hope everybody is enjoying their summer (if you have one) and if not, just enjoying life in general!
Here are a couple of pictures of my adorable cousin on Mother’s Day.

I will be in San Antonio for the summer until about the middle of August. If you’re interested in any photography or videography, please let me know! Send me your information in the contact tab at the top of the blog and we can set something up!

Senior Rep 2013 – Paola

I have had this session on hold for quite some time because of time conflicts and we finally were able to meet up and make it happen. Talk about the best things come to those who wait! I was so excited when I pulled up to our location and the lighting was perfect, the temperature was perfect and it was just an incredible day to be shooting. We experimented with some different posing and some creative things that I definitely want to bring to RL Photography. I had so much fun and I could tell her and her mom were enjoying it just as much as I was. This is the last of the Senior Reps. I will be making stops in San Antonio over the next few months to get some sessions out of the way. If you are interested in a session, please email me now so we can plan early and get the date that works for the both of us.

It is such a weird feeling to see “Class of 2013″ It feels like just yesterday I was graduating. It is just so crazy how time flies. You just have to enjoy it and hang on! Everybody have a great week!

Project 52 – Week 1 (again)

If you’re a returning blog stalker, you’ll remember last year I tried to do Project 52 where I would post a few photos every week and keep you guys updated on my life and everything that is going on. Well, this year I am going to try it again and actually finish it. The only difference from this year and last year is I am not going to give myself a number of pictures to post and just post as much as I can. (This just means i’ll probably only post one picture)

This picture is one I took a few days ago when I was bored sitting in my room at 2 in the morning. I’ve had it framed and sitting on my bookshelf in my room for so long. I got it as a greeting card when I went to London earlier this year and if you don’t know the history behind it… well I don’t either, but it really speaks for itself. (: We should all live by this expression and just Keep Calm and Carry On!

I hope everybody had a great Christmas and New Years! My New Years Resolution is definitely to keep up with my blog and just take my photography to the next level. I have grown so much, but I still have so far to go. Just keep your resolution up and it’ll be 2014 in no time!
